Exploit and valorize the public data of the SKETHIS e-cohort in full compliance

Challenge

SKEZI, the French specialist in online cohorts, launches the project SKETHIS, a large public study on the quality of life. This unprecedented system will make it possible to monitor the quality of life linked to health in France over time thanks to the active involvement of citizens.

The aim? Exploit and value in an ethical way, the data from the SKETHIS e-cohort by ensuring the confidentiality sensitive data while maintaining useful information.

Solution

  • Octopize's personal data anonymization solution has made it possible to free up the exploitation and valorization of real life data collected by Skezi (Skethis project).
  • To allow the sharing of this sensitive data while protecting the confidentiality of individuals, Octopize deployed its avatar software, generating synthetic and anonymous data from the original data.
  • Skezi can then share, parse and valorize its data sets thanks to the ability of the avatar method to maintain the statistical properties of the original data set as well as its variability.

Setting up

Deploying the solution software avatar with internal team training.

Maintaining statistical quality & utility

ROI

  • Valorize and analyze data without compromising the privacy of individuals
  • Retain data for an unlimited period of time
  • Allow data to be shared for research purposes
  • Generating the trust of participants
  • 100,000: number of people targeted in the cohort by 2025

“This partnership is key for SKEZI, because the protection of individuals is at the heart of our concerns. By guaranteeing the volunteers of the SKETHIS e-cohort the anonymization of their data, they will be in a better position to share their feelings and participate in improving the quality of life in France.” - Jean-Philippe Bertocchio, Doctor, Researcher, Doctor, Researcher, CEO @SKEZI
