Many researchers from the Institute of Data Sciences at the University of Montpellier are working on research projects based on large quantities of sensitive personal data that is difficult to share and analyze.

The aim? Advancing research. Promote cooperation between organizations in the field of research, including at European level. Facilitate the familiarization of personnel with the analysis of sensitive data by using synthetic and anonymous avatar data.

Solution

• Octopize's personal data anonymization solution freed the data sharing and analysis researchers from the University of Montpellier.
• To allow the sharing of this sensitive data, Octopize has deployed its Avatar software solution, generating synthetic and anonymous data from the original data. The Data Science Institute can then share, analyze and value its datasets thanks to the ability of the avatar method to keep statistical properties of the original dataset as well as its variability.
